How is meditation becoming part of everyday wellness in the Middle East and Africa?

I recently came across several discussions about meditation practices in the Middle East and Africa, and it was interesting to see how mindfulness and relaxation techniques are gaining attention across the region.

While meditation has a long history in different cultures around the world, many people today are exploring it as a way to support mental well-being, manage daily stress, and improve focus.

Meditation can take many forms, including mindful breathing, guided meditation, body scan exercises, and quiet reflection. Some people practice for just a few minutes each day, while others include it as part of a regular wellness routine. With the growing availability of wellness programs, community groups, and mobile apps, learning different meditation techniques has become more accessible than ever.

What I find especially interesting is that meditation doesn't require special equipment or a dedicated location. A quiet space, a comfortable position, and a few uninterrupted minutes are often enough to get started. Many people also combine meditation with healthy habits such as regular exercise, balanced nutrition, and good sleep to support overall well-being.

As awareness of mental wellness continues to grow, it will be interesting to see how meditation becomes part of daily life for more people across the Middle East and Africa.

Have you ever tried meditation, or are you thinking about starting? What type of meditation or mindfulness practice have you found most helpful in your daily routine?
